Wisdom

Inspired by the idea that the greatest gift one generation can give to another is the wisdom it has gained from experience, the Wisdom project sought to create a record of a group of people over the age of 65 who have all made their mark on the world. Beginning in August of 2007, Zuckerman and his creative team traveled to 7 countries, driving 5000 miles and logging 65,000 air travel miles, to meet with luminaries from all walks of life—trailblazers in their respective fields who have witnessed history unfold over the past three quarters of a century.
Nelson Mandela, Buzz Aldrin, Burt Bacharach, Madeleine Albright, Clint Eastwood, Nadine Gordimer, Henry Kissinger, Billie Jean King, Frank Gehry, Judi Dench, Ted Kennedy, Jane Goodall, Robert Redford, Dave Bruebeck, and Andrew Wyeth are just a few of the 50 contributors who agreed to be photographed and interviewed exclusively for the book.
